What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Assistant position at South Shore Social Beach Club?
South Shore Social Beach Club is looking for seasonal Operations Assistant to join our team. Located at the South Shore Cultural Center Beach House, 7059 S. South Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60649.
South Shore Social Beach Club is open Memorial Day to Labor Day, 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Our ideal candidate characteristics include attention to details, punctual, and a multi-tasker.
Responsibilities
- Setup daily events and activities on the beach at South Shore Social Beach Club associated with Summer Fitness Series
- Responsible for setting up and breaking down beach patio furniture according to opening and closing procedures for South Shore Social Beach Club
- Work with event lead and activity coordinator for setting up and breaking down equipment for daily entertainment
- Monitor and setup beach accommodations for beachgoers and restaurant patrons
- Maintain cleanliness of beach patio, beach area and beachfront restaurant. Including but not limited to, cleaning of tables, trash disposal, sand removal, and other duties as needed.
- May perform other job duties as they arise
Qualifications
- Ability to have a flexible schedule, schedule is determined by events in-house and event needs
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- Team members must be between the age of 16 and 24 as this is a summer employment and team members will be paid through the One Summer Chicago program.
