Description
The Sports and Recreation Gym Monitor will provide supervision and assist all Sport & Recreation programs and activities that are operating. Actively engage and supervise participants, focusing on their safety, needs and enrichment. Provide positive member service and abide by all policies and rules of the South Shore YMCA.

Qualifications
- Knowledge/experience with a variety of sports
- Experience supervising children and adults preferred
- Must be motivated, upbeat and dedicated to creating a safe, engaging and fun environment for the children and families we service.
- The ability to develop positive, effective working relationships with staff, volunteers and members is important to this position.
- Excellent communication skills, and demonstrated poise and professionalism when addressing concerns and interacting with people
- Must also have the ability to take initiative and respond to a variety of situations while working in a fast-paced environment.
