Forklift and Reload Operator

We are looking for a motivated individual for a cargo reload position at a reloading and warehouse operation. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety, while loading and unloading trucks, rail cars, and containers. Your job could involve driving around warehouses, storage spaces and other facilities in a forklift, moving trailers in the yard, manually stacking and banding materials, light office work, and other tasks as needed. You must be a responsible individual with experience in driving industrial vehicles, and a willingness to perform other duties.

Responsibilities

• Load/Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
• Locate and move stock for storage or shipment
• Maintain inventory accountability and perform regular inventory counts
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities

Skills

• Proven experience as forklift operator
• Experience moving trailers
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Familiarity with Google Gmail and Docs
• Comfortable answering and helping customers on the telephone
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• Valid certification to operate forklifts preferred

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Maintain current Washington State Drivers License.
• Must be able to pass DOT driving requirements (including drug test)
• Maintain current 1st aid/CPR certification
• Maintain the ability to lift 100 lbs, and climb ladders
• Read, write, and speak fluent English
• Lumber yard experience preferred
• Job is outside, in all weather
• Additional duties will include facilities maintenance, light janitorial, grounds keeping, running power tools, light construction and/or production, light administrative work.
• Neat clean professional appearance must be maintained.
