- Plan and implement a well-rounded program that includes instructional activities, demonstrations, and hands-on work, offering students opportunities to observe, inquire, explore, and engage.
- Provide individual and group instruction, employing diverse teaching techniques. Adjust teaching strategies and resources to meet the varied needs and interests of students.
- Integrate Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) into morning meetings, daily lessons, and end-of-day activities.
- Cultivate a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes success for all students.
- Regularly communicate with families to provide updates on program content and student progress.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, site coordinators, and the extended learning coordinator to address behavioral and academic concerns.
- Maintain accurate student records in compliance with district policies, legal requirements, and administrative guidelines.
- Offer guidance and support to students dealing with academic challenges or specific learning needs.
- Respect boundaries and maintain confidentiality with students, families, and staff.
- Assist site coordinators with student supervision during arrival and dismissal.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A current Minnesota Teaching License in Elementary Education, English as a Second Language, Special Education, or Library Media Specialist.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proven creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm in delivering innovative instruction that supports student growth.
