Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests warmly, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth flow of service in our restaurant. A passion for hospitality and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Greet guests as they arrive and provide a warm welcome.
- Manage the seating chart and reservations using the POS system.
- Communicate wait times effectively to guests and provide updates as necessary.
- Assist with seating arrangements to optimize dining room flow.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with a focus on customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help both guests and team members.
