Silver Sneakers (Certified) Instructor Part-Time

We are looking for a long-term sub at Lone Tree Recreation Center for Tuesdays and Thursdays SS Classic at 10:00. Also a permanent instructor at Goodson Recreation Center for SS Classic on Wednesdays at 11:00 am.
$24.15 - $27.00 per hour

We are seeking a highly motivated SilverSneakers Fitness Instructor with a passion for helping active older adults improve their lives through health and fitness. Our SilverSneakers Fitness Instructors are responsible for designing, implementing and leading safe, effective and enjoyable group fitness classes to recreation center participants of various fitness levels. We serve residents in Bow Mar, Columbine Valley, Centennial west of I-25, Littleton, Lone Tree and Sheridan and unincorporated portions of Douglas, Jefferson and Arapahoe counties. We operate four full-service recreation centers, golf courses, outdoor pools and restaurants, two ice centers and miniature golf courses,a botanical garden event center, a BMX track, a sports dome, batting cages, an entertainment center, a hotel and a nature center. In addition, we maintain nearly 3,800 acres of developed and open space land, including 119 multi-purpose athletic fields, more than 100 parks, nearly 80 miles of trails, 60 playgrounds, 56 tennis courts, and the 880-acre South Platte Park.

Our Ideal Candidate
- Must possess a current Group Fitness Certification and SilverSneakers Certification.
- Will have prior experience in instruction of specific specialty and experience working with older adults.
- First Aid certification is preferred.
- Has an understanding and knowledge of exercise science, nutrition and wellness to promote fitness and educate participants.
- Ability to communicate effectively to establish and maintain working relationships with employees and the public.
- Will have knowledge of the principals and practices of fitness programming.
- For Lone Tree looking for Wednesday SilverSneakers Circuit Instructor, 10:45 at Lone Tree Recreation Center
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Graduation from high school or completion of GED.
- Current Group Fitness Certification from an accepted national certifying organization and must be maintained through Continuing Education Credits (CECs) as required.
- Possession of current certifications in CPR/AED required.
