Job Description:
This role supports the Accounting Supervisor and Grants Coordinator in achieving departmental plans, objectives, and values. The position involves performing clerical and specialized accounting tasks, requiring a general knowledge of accounting systems and specialized knowledge of general ledger and subsidiary functions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyze and reconcile various general ledger accounts, including bank accounts, payroll liability accounts, returned checks, retainage, suspense, office supplies, uniforms, inventory adjustments, and Accounts Receivable.
- Prepare schedules for these accounts and prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, including legal fees, liability insurance, and standard monthly and quarterly entries.
- Prepare various spreadsheets, including legal fees, flexible spending account activity, and liability claims, as needed.
