Job Description:
South Texas Fence Supply is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our financial records, ensuring accuracy, and helping maintain the financial health of the company. Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct ledger
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Maintain financial records in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Prepare financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements
- Process payroll and handle associated tax filings
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role (3 to 5 years preferred)
- Proficiency with accounting software (Sage or QuickBooks preferred)
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
