POSITION SUMMARY:
The Market Director of CDI directs and coordinates the management/leadership functions of CDI (clinical documentation integrity) for the Texas Region facilities (STHS, Texoma Medical Center, Northwest Texas Healthcare System, Doctors Hospital and Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center. Position provides leadership and management of the Physician and Clinical Documentation Integrity (PDI/CDI) program based on established expectations/goals in accordance with established policies/procedures and any state/federal coding guidelines to include management of the DNFB. Responsible for establishing checks and balances to ensure compliance of both CDI & Coding Guidelines through collaboration and establishment of close working relationships with Market Director-Coding, HIM, facility CFO’s and departments, leadership, medical staff, CBO, corporate office and vendors as needed. Responsible for the management of appropriate staffing of these groups to ensure timelines and goals are met. Responsible for coordination of meetings for monthly/quarterly reviews, DNFB management, clinical documentation improvement and training. Responsible and accountable for providing exceptional customer service.

- Three to Five years acute care CDI experience required.
- Three-Five years of auditing/training in medical coding
- Two years of management/supervisory position or leadership role.
- Strong organizational, process improvement, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read medical reports, interpret lab values as pertinent to coding diagnoses, abstract pertinent
inquiries.
- Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing field (RN/BSN) or International MD degree required
- Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Must be able to travel between facilities within the Texas Region.
