What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food transporter position at South Umpqua High School?
South Umpqua School District is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Transporter to support our district food service.
Job Duties: To support the efficient operation of the school meal program by transporting food and serving supplies to satellite kitchens, assisting with food preparation and cleanup as needed, and ensuring kitchens are kept clean and sanitary. This role also includes serving meals to students in a manner that promotes efficiency, cleanliness, and hospitality.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma, GED, or educational and related work experience that the district considers appropriate for performing the assigned task. Two years’ prior experience in and knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment used in school housecleaning. Must have valid ODL. Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision. Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) and follow written and oral directions. Ability to work harmoniously with staff and students is a necessity.
Good physical health and ability to perform manual labor. Physically able to perform essential job functions which include lifting 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, and carrying on a regular basis.
Salary Range: $15.96- $22.97( Depending on experience)
Assignment:8 hours per day / 5 days per week/ 11 months a year
This is a full-time benefited position. Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; employer-paid PERS, as well as a tuition reimbursement program.
