SUMMARY:
The primary outcome and urgent focus of this position is to add new student enrollment in undergraduate and/or graduate degree programs for the ground campuses. These enrollment targets are set each year in the University budgeting process. Success in this role is defined by meeting or exceeding inquiries, conversion and enrollment targets.
The Admissions and Outreach Representative will be responsible for contacting prospective students they have been assigned to ensure superior customer service for the purpose of enrolling into assigned university program. They will also market the campus and program offerings to community partners in the local area to generate relationships, awareness, agreements and prospective students. This individual is responsible for industry knowledge related to degrees offered at the campus and regularly conducts local market research to target the secondary education market, including college counselors, professional pathways classes and programs. In addition, the Admissions and Outreach Representative is responsible for managing a calendar of recruitment activities, such as presentations and fairs, meeting monthly and annual plans for outreach activities and the admissions funnel resulting in meeting set goals for new students.
The Admission and Outreach Representative must conduct activities in accordance with state, federal, accreditation, regulatory, and South University policies, consistent with the highest ethical standards.
The Admissions and Outreach Representative can expect some travel within designated region. This individual must be flexible with extended hours and days of work, when necessary, to meet the needs of partners and the campus.

KEY JOB ELEMENTS:
Accurately and completely explain educational programs, expected outcomes, student services, and financial consideration to students, parents, and educators.
Manage inquiries to achieve prompt contact and performance activity weekly goals; utilize approved recruitment policies/formats; make prompt and effective contact with inquiries and redirect unqualified candidates based upon incompatible career goals.
Secure new inquiries (Personally Developed Referrals) by directly asking phone and in-person contacts about referrals of others to contact that may be interested in programs offered.
Schedule and conduct interviews, pursue qualified candidates for enrollment, and determine appropriateness of candidates for enrollment based upon career goal compatibility.
Accurately forecast projected new students on a periodic basis for admissions leadership.
Consistently conduct follow-up meetings, monthly at minimum, with all applicants to ensure successful matriculation.
Cultivate and maintain relationships in the community, including but not limited to; hospitals, doctor’s offices, health clinics and others with a role in influencing student perceptions of South University
responsible for recruiting qualified applicants for admission to the school in accordance with state and federal accreditation and company policies and regulations, consistent with the highest ethical standards.
Partner with academic program directors and faculty to participate in ongoing inquiry and application producing activities.
Schedule and conduct visits with appropriate community partners. Maintain a future calendar, recorded daily, and meet production goals.
Partner with staff and faculty within the assigned campus to leverage existing relationships and expertise, and facilitate outreach among these individuals.
Improve awareness and reputation of South University, including the history, academic programs and market differentiators.
Utilizes technology, public speaking skills, and all presentation materials to deliver effective multimedia presentations. Keeps abreast of current industry and approved South University school information to use for presentation purposes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree required
Two years’ experience in Higher Education or K-12 setting working with high school students preferred
One years’ experience in admissions, sales, training, partnership development or advising
Computer literate on a windows platform; working knowledge of MS Office
Valid state driver’s license.
Vehicle required for travel along with valid insurance.
Excellent interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills. Self-motivated; ability to work independently, problem solve and demonstrate sound judgment.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Develop and facilitate clear and effective presentations
Lift and transport at least 20lbs of presentation materials.
Build and cultivate superior relationships with internal and external contacts
Work collaboratively as a member of a team and with external constituents
