Position: Dietary Aide
Status: Full-time/non-exempt
The duties of the Dietary Aide will include the following but in no way does this description imply that these are the only duties to be performed. The Dietary Aide will be required to follow other instructions and to perform other duties upon request of the supervisor that are essential to fulfill the purpose of the Dietary Aide position.
· Wear proper uniform and nametag
· Know and follow all facility policies and procedures
· Attend all required in-services as scheduled and abide by them
· Always respect the rights and dignity of residents
· Maintain a clean and obstacle free environment
· Know and follow department sanitation and storage procedures
· Take and record accurate temperatures
· Label and date all food items in cold and dry storage
· Dish out food as outlined on production schedule
· Set tables and trays according to resident needs
· Work on tray line
· Perform routine cleaning assignments
· Replenish all condiments (salt, pepper, and sugar containers/packets)
· Prepare coffee, tea, and juice as necessary
· Properly store equipment and report any equipment breakdown
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform all essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. Individuals must be at least 18 years of age or older; have obtained a high school diploma or GED; ability to speak, read and write in English. Individuals must be able to prioritize multiple demands and always maintain professional courtesy. Individuals must be able to maintain excellent attendance and must always be neat and clean in appearance.
