What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer SoWashCo Credit Recovery Lead - Park High School position at South Washington County Schools?
- Communicate with school administration, counselors, special education team, Alternative Programs staff, students, and families regarding credit recovery.
- Email updates to students and families about programmatic information.
- Support credit recovery staff and students.
- Partner with Alternative Programs staff to ensure students are enrolled in accurate courses.
- Consistent tracking, verification, and reporting of learner attendance and course progress.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with building tech, Edmentum support, and Alternative Programs staff.
- Ensure modifications and accommodations for special education students are documented and followed.
- Follow district-wide procedures regarding student/staff communications and follow all policies and procedures within the credit recovery program.
- Work within designated hours - 80 per session. Any overtime must be approved by Alternative Programs staff.
- Maintain confidentiality of data, student information, and program details.
- Schedule students to classes and rosters, and schedule teachers to classrooms.
- Partner with the site Assistant Principal to respond to student behavior concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Current Minnesota Teaching License.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
- Experience teaching High School students.
- Prompt, regular, and reliable attendance.
- Ability to perform routine computer functions, including the use of email, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and online curriculum.
- Access and familiarity with Infinite Campus.
- Strong communication skills and good rapport with administration, counselors, and other teaching staff.
- Organizational skills when determining and managing schedules (for students, CR teachers, counselors/admin).
- Communicates with students, parents, co-workers, supervisors, and the community in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships.
- Demonstrates an appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions.
- Familiarity with Edmentum, Google Docs, Microsoft TEAMS, Schoology, and other online education tools.
- Experience leading and supporting teachers and other staff.
- Understanding of graduation requirements and transcripts.
