We are seeking skilled, reliable, and disciplined individuals, preferably with a military technical background, to join our team as Residential Generator and Tune-up Technicians.
This multi-skilled role requires proven experience in working on, repairing, or maintaining generators. It combines expertise in generator systems with cross-training in HVAC furnace tune-ups, ensuring year-round functionality and contribution to our growing home services company.
You will also work closely with our Electrician Sales Team to identify opportunities for upgrades or new installations, maximizing customer satisfaction.
- On-target earnings : Approximately $175,000 annually, depending on performance and customer demand.
- Schedule : Monday - Friday 8am-5 : 30pm
- 40-55 hours per week, depending on workload and demand

General Responsibilities
- Provide clear and professional communication with homeowners about their equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and company standards.
- Stay current on manufacturer guidelines, certifications, and training.
- Contribute to a positive customer experience by delivering top-tier service across all assigned tasks.
Generator Service and Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on residential generators, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failure points in generator systems.
- Utilize prior experience to troubleshoot and resolve generator performance issues effectively.
- Document service and maintenance activities accurately in ServiceTitan or other company systems.
- Identify and report opportunities for customers to upgrade their systems or install new home backup power solutions.
- Collaborate with Electrician Salesmen to transition potential sales leads effectively.
HVAC Cross-Training and Seasonal Tune-Ups
- Learn and complete HVAC furnace tune-ups during cooler months, including inspections, cleaning, and basic diagnostics to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Check filters, heat exchangers, blower motors, and thermostats to ensure functionality and safety.
- Advise customers on system health, providing recommendations for repairs, maintenance, or replacement options as needed.
- Support HVAC service teams with additional seasonal work as required.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field.
- Familiarity with digital tools, including ServiceTitan or similar CRM / field service software.
- 06B Certification in WA State (or equivalent if in a different location) is preferred.
- Proven experience working on, repairing, or maintaining residential or commercial generators or similar equipment.
- Military technical experience or equivalent technical training preferred.
- HVAC experience is a plus but not required (training will be provided).
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working in outdoor and residential environments, including tight spaces and varying weather conditions.
