Job Summary: Under general direction of the Athletic Director this position is responsible for providing athletic training services in injury prevention, care, and rehabilitation for student athletes; monitoring and assigning training rooms. This position works a varied schedule throughout the school year, and is subject to change. The athletic trainer will be present at all school sponsored athletic events occurring at South Whidbey High/Middle school and at some practices. On call to assist Athletic Department. This position requires the individual to take initiative, work independently without supervision and to exercise good judgment in fulfilling the responsibilities while complying with board policy and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

- As a condition of employment, newly hired employees are required to be fingerprinted to provide information for a Washington State Patrol and FBI History background inquiry at a personal cost of approximately $53.00. Must be completed PRIOR to starting employment. Do you agree to this condition?

- B.A. /B.S. in athletic training.
- Must possess and maintain National Athletic Trainers Association Board Certification (NATABOC).
- Must have valid drivers license and be able to pass fingerprinting requirement.
- Proof of valid first Aid, AED, CPR certificate required.
- Valid First Aid/CPR/AED Trainer Certification preferred.
