Description: South Windsor Public Schools is seeking to hire a full-time athletic trainer (ATC) at South Windsor High School for the 2025 - 2026 school year.
The athletic trainer will deliver athletic training services in accordance with National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) guidelines and practices, ensuring the health and well-being of all student athletes. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for attending assigned team practices and sporting events, including traveling to certain sporting events and competitions across the state of Connecticut. This role will have scheduled hours on nights, weekends, and holidays.
South Windsor is a diverse community of approximately 27,000 citizens and more than 5,000 public school students. The district values this diversity, and has worked to create a districtwide culture of equity and social consciousness. SWPS is comprised of four elementary schools, one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12), all of which cultivate and support culturally responsive classrooms and learning communities. The ongoing work of our teachers and staff includes the creation of enriching experiences that expand the depth of knowledge for students beyond today's classroom in order to produce graduates with the 21st century skills needed to make them college or career ready.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited professional athletic training education program
- Current NATA BOC Certification
- State of Connecticut Athletic Training License
- CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certifications
