JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Cleaning Staff (Camp Alexander)
SUPERVISOR: Facilities Director
GENERAL FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Facilities Director, the Cleaning Staff will ensure the cleanliness of the facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Cleaning Staff ensure the general cleanliness of our facilities at Camp Alexander. This includes Lester Hall, Cabins, and other various buildings, as used. This person will help to ensure a safe and clean atmosphere for both our campers and those renting the facilities.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6 months or more of related experience preferred.
- Ability to use equipment and chemicals in prescribed manner, including ability to read labels, MSDS information sheets and instructions.
- Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties.
- Ability to stay alert to potential safety and security problems.
- Must have flexible schedule and availability.
- Ability to work independently.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
- Clean and sanitize sinks, toilets, showers, restrooms and other assigned areas of the facilities.
- Clean and maintain floors, windows, walls and other surfaces.
- Replace soap, paper towels, toilet paper and other supplies.
- Empty waste containers.
- Perform various duties such as dusting, and maintaining buildings and grounds.
- Maintain assigned area of the supply closet.
- Report any safety/building concerns.
- Perform sidewalk/exterior clean up.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Complete New Employee Passport.
EFFECT ON END RESULT:
Ensures that the overall cleanliness and safety conditions of the facilities is maintained at maximum efficiency to fully support the objectives of the South Wood County YMCA.
