As our Landfill Operations Manager, youll be at the forefront of optimizing our landfill operations while ensuring safety, sustainability, and compliance with environmental standards. What Youll Do:

Oversee daily landfill operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance
- Ensure compliance and reporting with environmental regulations and facility permit requirements regarding waste handling, air quality, and stormwater management
- Oversees repairs, maintenance, and inspections of landfill equipment, oversee contractors for new cell construction
- Leads and mentor the staff at the South Yuma County facility in managing landfill operations at our regional municipal solid waste landfill, which serves southeastern Arizona, southern California, and northern Mexico
- Oversee and manage administrative and operations staff to ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Manage site resources, budgets, and equipment to achieve operational excellence
- Drive innovation by identifying and implementing sustainable waste management practices
- Ensure communication channels are strong between the site, corporate, and other key stakeholders, and ensure staff is included in pertinent communication
- Identify and improve processes
- Collaborate with local authorities, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain smooth operations

About You:
- Proven experience in landfill or waste management operations (minimum 4 years experience)
- P&L management experience
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering preferred or equivalent
- Certification as a Manager of Landfill Operations (MOLO) through the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) preferred
- Willing to obtain MOLO certification within 12 months of employment and maintain certification during employment
- Must have or be able to obtain an Arizona drivers license prior to employment
- Microsoft suite experience and Outlook
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and environmental standards
- Hands-on expertise with heavy equipment and site management
- Passion for sustainability and operational excellence
