ABOUT Hermosa
Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals—manganese and zinc—as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nation’s clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Engineering Manager- Clark you will be responsible for managing the engineer and design of process facilities, surface infrastructure, roads, water treatment plants, power infrastructure, maintenance and administrative buildings, decline related infrastructure, underground infrastructure, and all other onsite and offsite infrastructure.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
• Manages relevant engineering tasks/contractors to ensure end product is fit for purpose;
• Ensures that South32 corporate safety and business goals are met or exceeded;
• Ensures that project construction activities and services are planned and executed in conformity with South32’s policies and plans;
• Assist with the preparation of Sourcing Strategies for major works packages as required;
• Manage and direct study through various phases and into execution.
ABOUT YOU
• Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Civil preferred);
• Minimum 10 years engineering experience with preference to leading engineering teams;
• Experience with various stages of study work and execution phases;
• Experience managing and coordinating multiple engineering contractors;
• Experience managing consultant and vendor services contracts;
