Responsibilities
- Inspect the cleanliness of rooms, suites, and cottages, as well as administering the cleaning assignments for both the Rooms and Public Area teams
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively interact, coordinate and communicate through daily pre-shift meetings, opening the house, supervising linen & terry distribution, VIP preparations and turning the house
- Maintain hotel standards, policies and procedures. Prioritize and organize work assignments, direct performance of assigned staff and follow up with corrections where needed.
- Be an expert in and demonstrate knowledge of room types, layouts, configurations, cleanliness expectations and turndown procedures
- Hotel housekeeping or laundry experience strongly preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate and provide directions in a clear, concise and professional manner in both verbal and written form
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English and Spanish (speak, read, write) with guests, co-workers and leadership to their understanding
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
- Excellent team skills, including but not limited to; listening, coaching, guiding, flexible working, adaptability, collaboration, and facilitation
- Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs.
- Available to work weekends, evenings and/or holidays
- Must be able to walk, stand for prolonged periods as needed
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Three to five years of hotel hospitality experience preferred
