Position: In Room Dining
Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager
Classification: Full Time, Non - Exempt
Key Responsibilities:

Order Taking and Delivery:
- Take room service orders from guests via phone or in person, ensuring to capture all details correctly.
- Deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure food is presented attractively and adheres to quality standards.

Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any guest requests or inquiries promptly.
- Maintain a friendly, professional, and polite demeanor at all times.
- Ensure guests are satisfied with their orders and handle any issues or complaints in a professional manner.

Set-Up and Clean-Up:
- Set up dining trays, tables, or counters as per guest preferences.
- After service, remove dishes and trays from guest rooms and ensure rooms are left clean and tidy.

Menu Knowledge:
- Be knowledgeable about the room service menu, daily specials, and ingredients to answer any guest questions.
- Inform guests about any changes to the menu or availability of items.

Billing and Payment Handling:
- Accurately input orders into the system and ensure correct billing.
- Process payments and handle transactions in accordance with hotel procedures.

Health and Safety Standards:
- Adhere to food safety and cleanliness standards during the handling, preparation, and delivery of food.
- Ensure that food is delivered at the correct temperature and in a safe manner.

Collaboration with Kitchen and Housekeeping:
- Coordinate with the kitchen and housekeeping departments to ensure the efficient preparation, delivery, and cleanliness of food and items.

Inventory Management:
- Monitor and report inventory levels for room service supplies and work with the team to keep stock levels up to date.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to carry trays, walk, and stand for extended periods.
Working Environment:
- Typically work in a hotel or resort setting, interacting directly with guests in their rooms.
- May work shifts, including overnight or early morning shifts.
