At Southall, we are looking for team members to help us as we continue our journey to inspire culinary consciousness showcasing fresh, seasonal fare that highlights the path from seed to plate. Our dining experiences take place just steps from where our ingredients are grown and raised. The Server will be responsible for guiding our guests through an immersive dining experience, anticipating their needs and delivering the highest of personalized service and attention.
One of our resturaunts Sojourner, our center of the life in the Inn, where all are welcome to gather, and our all-day and in-room dining emanates from its kitchen. The vibe is elegant but casual.
Responsibilities
- Provide an immersive dining experience to our guests by highlighting our seed to table operation and being knowledgeable about menu offerings
- Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen and bar using the hotels point-of-sales system; coordinate food and beverage timings
- Check completed kitchen orders with the guests original order and transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
- Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
- Read each table and adapt to the guest, creating a customized experience for a variety of local guests, international travelers, and building residents alike
- Properly and accurately close guest checks, process cash and credit card payments, properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals
- Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables and chairs
- Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when needed

Education and Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs.
- Available to work a flexible schedule including mornings, weekends, evenings and/or holidays
- Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods as needed and able to work in all weather conditions
