Swim Director

Southampton Camp & Club is a premier children's day camp in Southampton, NY. We are looking for an experienced Aquatics Director to work as part of our Aquatics Team for Summer 2025.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience running commercial or public pools, working at children's summer camps, experience training and/or managing lifeguards, as well as teaching swim to children aged 2-11.

** This role is a summer only position and involves interested candidates having their own housing/accommodations within commuting distance of our Southampton, NY location **

Our Camp:

Southampton Camp & Club is a co-ed camp experience that offers 1–10-week sessions for our campers. Nestled on 17 idyllic acres in the heart of Southampton, our commitment is to provide the highest level of service and excellence in the camping profession. Constantly innovating and moving forward, our facilities, program and staff development are second to none.

Our Camper Population:

Our campers are ages 2-11 and we cater to a healthy, mainstream population, who vacation in the Hamptons during the summer months.

Our Facilities:

Three(3) shallow water outdoor, heated chlorinated pools (2ft-5ft deep) designed specifically to meet the needs/age/abilities of our camper population.

General Responsibilities, but not limited to: Managing team of Swim instructors in delivering our American Red Cross adapted swim program to campers who receive group lessons on a daily basis, managing lifeguards on deck, evaluating swim instructor & lifeguard performance and conducting in-season trainings, delivering excellent customer service to our summer clientele, and reviewing all weekly swim instructor report cards to maintain professional standards.

The successful candidate should also possess or have the ability to obtain the following certifications prior to the summer of 2025:

• Suffolk County Dept. Health recognized Pool Chemical Operator Certification (such as YMCA POOL or CPO certification)
• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (SWI) Certification
• American Red Cross (or SCDH recognized equivalent) Lifeguard Certification
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Management Certification

Location: Southampton Camp & Club - Southampton, NYDates: Monday, June 23rd through August 29th, 2025 (closed, Friday, July 4th).
