Administrative and Billing office for multiple Addiction Treatment Centers is looking for a full-time Collections Specialist who will be responsible for performing the patient responsibility collection functions for patients who are admitting into treatment. Must be familiar with or have an understanding of insurance benefits including deductibles and out-of-pocket costs associated with In-Network and Out of Network insurance providers. Experience in the Mental Health/Addiction space, Medical Billing/Collections is preferred.
- Demonstrate strong, professional communication and interpersonal skills with clients, public, managers and co-workers.
- Review data on insurance policies to ensure accurate claim benefits.
- Efficiently utilize the medical billing software to post collection claims.
- Maintain detailed call data and logs.
- Create and submit status reports on a weekly basis.
- Process payments through merchant portal.
- Contact past and current clients to collect on outstanding account balances.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient care and business.
- Perform general office duties as needed.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records.
- Demonstrate the ability to act as a team player in a professional and positive manner.
