• Assists the RN in providing care to patients of all ages undergoing surgical procedure.Job DescriptionQUALIFICATIONS:High School graduate or GED preferred.Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program.Certification as a Surgical Technologist from the Association of Surgical Technologists required or must be qualified to sit National Certification Exam. If not certified, must pass Certification Exam within twelve(12) months of employment.LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS:Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.Ability to communicate effectively in an emergency situation.Ability to communicate in a professional manner with patients.Ability to accurately and promptly communicate with peers, supervisors, and physicians.SKILLS:Successful course completion in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
