Job Description:
Join our team at SEARHC as a Dietitian within the Medical Nutrition Services department. This role is integral to our multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing patient care that aligns with patient-focused medical goals and is culturally appropriate in accordance with SEARHC’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ambulatory Medical Nutrition Therapy: Collaborate with the ambulatory healthcare team to provide individual or group nutrition screening, assessment, diagnosis, education, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation using the Nutrition Care Process. Document care in patient’s medical records.
- Inpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy: Conduct comprehensive nutrition care for hospitalized patients, including screening, assessment, diagnosis, education, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation. Document care in patient’s medical records.
- Long Term Care: Work with the long-term care team to provide nutrition guidance and individual assessments for residents. Document care in patient’s/resident’s records.
- Hospital Nutrition Services: Communicate patient diet orders, food preferences, menu choices, and formula needs with Hospital Nutrition Services’ staff. Complete menu revisions and nutrient analysis of inpatient menus.
- Team Membership: Participate in the Diabetes Team and Patient Care Conference. Provide department leave and on-call coverage in collaboration with the Clinical Nutrition Manager. Assist with teaching diabetes prevention programs and community nutrition activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited program by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association (ADA).
- Certifications: Dietetic Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensure from the State of Alaska (required within six months of hire if not already obtained). Certification in any dietetic specialty is preferred.
- Experience: Completion of an approved dietetic internship program. 1 year of experience as a clinical dietitian is preferred.

Salary : $82,000 - $106,000
