Position: Point of Care Coordinator
Location: Sitka - Mount Edgecumbe Hospital
Shift: Full-time, OT 8/40 (United States of America)
Compensation Grade: GRADE25
What You'll Do:
- Work with the Laboratory Director and CLIA License holders to ensure CLIA and Accreditation standards are met.
- Oversee the operation, leadership, direction, and administration of laboratory services.
- Perform laboratory testing at all levels, including CLIA-defined high complexity testing.
- Provide quality control oversight and ensure quality assessment programs are maintained.
- Assist with the training and oversight of personnel and processes.
- Ensure proper supervision and accurate performance of tests and reporting of results.
- Develop documentation for assigned individuals specifying their level of activity and supervision requirements.
- Analyze and report historical data and trends as requested.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree and MLS certification with a minimum of 2 years lab training and experience.
- Associates degree and MLT certification with a minimum of 5 years lab training and experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
Certifications:
- ASCP or equivalent certification.
Experience:
- Two to five years of experience working in a laboratory.
