Position Summary:
As an Owatonna teacher, you have the opportunity to set the tone for learning for the rest of a student's life. When students have a personalized, educational, happy experience during their school years, they are more prepared to take on the challenges of life including college and/or careers. You are able to teach students to love learning and also how to overcome the challenges and obstacles they face that keep them from reaching their goals. While adhering to the core curriculum required by the state, you are able to find creative, engaging ways to teach students real life application of the concepts they are learning.

Qualifications:
Valid MN Elementary Teaching license. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired. Demonstrated use of 21st Century strategies and approaches to ensure all learners achieve the highest levels. Positive behavior intervention supports and MTSS preferred. Experience in utilizing an inquiry approach to instruction across all content areas and a background in STEM and Everyday Math beneficial.

Rate of Pay:
Based on candidates education and experience per the OEA Master Agreement

Eligible for Health and Dental Insurance (single or family) after 12 weeks of uninterrupted service as a long term substitute for the same teacher or for any other professional covered by the OEA Master Agreement.
