Job Title: Academic Specialist - Math
Summary of Job: The Academic Specialist supports student academic growth in math through the implementation of diagnostic assessments, targeted interventions, and effective communication with teachers and the intervention team. This position focuses on identifying student needs, providing evidence-based interventions, and monitoring student progress to ensure academic success. This position is 7.5 hours per day; 190 days per year. The rate of pay is $22.97 per hour. This position will commence with the 2025-2026 school year.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Must have the ability to deliver targeted services in Math, plan and organize services with the assistance of the Math Interventionist, manage student intervention schedules, collect data and maintain accurate records for progress monitoring, and assist in the administration of diagnostic data. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and can effectively collaborate with the intervention team, teaching staff, and families, support and follow School Board policies and procedures. Be a positive and contributing member of our professional community.
Qualifications: High School Diploma required, related Associate’s or Bachelor’s year degree strongly preferred, experience working with youth in a small group setting.
