What are the responsibilities and job description for the AHS First Robotics Advisor position at Southeast Application Consortium?
- Recruit and meet with student team members in the fall. (once a week meeting)
- Sign team up for a Regional or two.
- Attend a fall event playing last year's game with last year's robot (optional)
- Fundraise
- Facilitate and coordinate with the Engineer Mentors for the team. (We currently have 3 from Hormel Engineering R & D)
- Work collaboratively with your co/assistant coach.
- Organize team leadership, i.e. captains
- Kickoff for the season is the first Saturday in January.
- Register team members
- Help students and mentors facilitate building a robot to specifications, to compete in this year's game.
- Attend a week zero event (practice event before regional competition)
- Plan your regional event: transportation, overnight stays, if applicable.
- Fundraising
- Community events: parades, festivals
