Campus Security Noon Supervisor

Austin Public School District is seeking to hire paraeducators to serve as campus security noon supervisor at Austin High School

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for checking student IDs and ensures that only authorized students are allowed access to the school building. This role is critical to maintaining a secure campus environment by verifying the identity of students as they arrive, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and monitoring access points to prevent unauthorized entry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and check IDs of all students entering the school building at the beginning of the school day and during other designated entry times.
• Verify student identification using provided ID cards or other acceptable forms of identification.
• Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring only authorized students and staff are allowed entry.
• Report any unauthorized attempts to enter the school building to the school administration immediately.
• Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor while interacting with students and staff.
• Ensure a smooth and efficient check-in process without causing unnecessary delays.
• Collaborate with school staff and administration to improve security protocols as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student entry and any incidents or irregularities.
• Respond to security-related incidents or emergencies in accordance with school safety policies.
• Assist in the enforcement of other school security measures as required.
