What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Ed Recreation-Instructor Lead and Swim Lead position at Southeast Application Consortium?
This part-time temporary recreation staff position is available at the Northfield Community Education Center. The role will begin on September 1, 2024, and conclude on May 31, 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the administration of established curriculum, overseeing program staff, and ensuring the quality of programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the administration of established curriculum.
- Oversee program staff and ensure coaching effectiveness.
- Oversee child behavior and implement disciplinary action plans as needed.
- Arrive early, execute daily plans, engage with participants, teach general disciplines, enhance skill development, build relationships, and communicate with parents/guardians.
- Show enthusiasm and create positive experiences.
- Keep track of time worked and record it on timesheets.
- Communicate openly with the recreation coordinator regarding vacation requests, program issues, etc.
Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years of age by May 15, 2024.
- Desire to invest in individual achievement.
- Desire to provide an organized and positive learning environment.
- Evidence of relationship building with youth.
- Evidence of specific sport or program knowledge and experience.
- Evidence of initiative taking and self-directing.
Pay Rate/Range:
$15.00/hr. - $16.25/hr. (23-24 agreement)
