Summer Care Program Lead

The RCS Summer Care Program Lead provides care for children ages 3-12, kindergarten through fifth grade. Program Leads, Assistants/Aides coordinate and interact daily with students, and their parents for the development of the spiritual, social, emotional and academic growth of young people throughout the summer.

The Summer Care Program Lead will facilitate weekly themed lessons and activities in collaboration with a program assistant/aide. Program Leads hours will be scheduled to cover the needs of the program. Hours are open for discussion based on program and/or applicant needs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in light cleaning
• Communication with support staff – providing direction, guidance, support, and assistance
• Care for any and all children
• Coordination of snacks, meals, and other routines
• Providing clear and consistent expectations for the children’s behavior
• Communication with families (general and individual)
• A prepared environment – maintaining and attractive, well-kept space that encourages creativity, exploration, decision-making, interdependence, and the responsibility of children
• Curriculum design and instruction

$18.50/ hour; hours per week varies upon position
