JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Operate transit buses and wheelchair lifts / ramps.
- For passengers with disabilities : must have the have the ability to provide assistance with securing wheelchair; provide assistance with boarding and exiting; provide guidance as needed.
- Collects fares, verifies passes and ID cards, and coordinates passenger transfers.
- Receives and transmits communications over a two-way radio and mobile data terminal (MDT).
- Reports schedule delays, completes and files reports including accidents, detours, vehicle inspections, fares and passes, and other incidents, makes recommendations for safety and route improvements.
- Works cooperatively at all levels of personnel.
- Attends in-service training, seminars or other opportunities for professional development as made available by the District.
- Other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS :
23.43 / Hour to start; Excellent Full-Time benefits including, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, vacation, sick, personal days, 457(b) and an EAP program.
