Southeast Behavioral Hospital is excited to begin offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Southeast Missouri. Our 102-provides a wide range of mental, emotional and behavioral health services for children, teens, adults and seniors experiencing mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety and co-occurring substance use issues. Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, the Cape Girardeau region has long been an area of vibrant commerce and abundance, with significant roots in agriculture and trading posts which produced generations of people full of pride and a determination to put in a hard day’s work. POSITION: DIRECTOR OF PLANT OPERATIONS

NOTE: This position is not a remote position. Work location is Cape Girardeau, MO.

This position offers $5,000 relocation with commitment.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Plant Operations/Safety is responsible for oversight of public utilities, security systems (alarms, access controls, etc.), HVAC systems, physical plant operations, housekeeping, dietary, grounds landscaping as well as managing capital projects. This individual ensures compliance with pertinent healthcare building codes, accreditation standards, OSHA, and contractual work specifications; and oversees emergency facilities operational initiatives and plans. In addition, this individual oversees all construction projects and any work performed by outside vendors and contractors, while assuring that all work performed meets fire and safety codes.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management or related field required.

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years facilities management or related experience with at least two years in a supervisory capacity. Must have experience with reading blueprints and understand Life Safety Codes, Joint Commission and other regulatory Standards and OSHA Regulations. Experience in a psychiatric facility highly preferred.

Licensure: Must have a valid driver’s license.

Additional Requirements: HVAC Certification preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills; Excellent time management and organization skills. This position also required to be On-Call (on a Weekend Rotation).
