What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Analyst position at SOUTHEAST CAPITAL COMPANIES?
Primary responsibilities include:
- Cash flow modeling of potential acquisitions and development as well as re-forecasting of budgets for properties under ownership
- Drafting business plans to take to market for new acquisitions
- Assist in all aspects of pursuit, closing, and delivery of residential projects. May include conducting research, due diligence reviews (including market research, review of third party reports (environmental, geo tech, surveys, etc.), reviewing financial statements, and abstracting leases), maintenance of closing checklists and schedules, coordination of closing activities, debt and equity funding, construction draw requests, change orders and ensuring marketing and leasing efforts comport with transaction documentation
- Assist development and asset management teams with ad hoc and investor reporting
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience required:
- 2 years of financial real estate development analysis experience preferred
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college, with a concentration in real estate, finance, accounting, or business
- Knowledge of financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and sensitivity analysis utilizing NPV and IRR
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel, Word, Power Point, and Publisher. Experience with real estate market and analytic software such as CoStar preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge with legal documents, including leases, loan documents, HOA, operating, etc.
