What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Operations Clerk position at Southeast Christian Church?
The Purchasing Operations Clerk will primarily support the Purchasing team, as well as backup assistance to the SE PrintShop and Shipping & Receiving. Everything will be done with the primary purpose of achieving the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.
General Job Duties:
- At minimum 50% of time will be working with the Purchasing team
- Contacting vendors regarding billing/payment/tax issues
- Processing invoices/credit card receipts
- Handling returns/issues with orders
- Filling out credit applications
- Order pick-up from local vendors
- Backup for the SE PrintShop and Shipping & Receiving
- Operate high-volume copiers, large paper cutter and other PrintShop equipment
- Mail/package deliveries throughout Blankenbaker Campus
- Accepting deliveries from vendors
- Provide a great, helpful, and Christ-centered attitude to all
Essential Functions:
- Operational support for the Purchasing team
- Provide back-up assistance to the SE PrintShop and Shipping & Receiving as needed
- Provide excellent customer service

- Ability to function with a high level of confidentiality, patience, tact and diplomacy
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially as pertains to Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to learn technical skills quickly
- Multi-tasker - Flexible in dealing with simultaneous projects
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision, but also as a part of a team
- Able to lift or move 60 lbs. or greater
- Organizational & administrative skills
Required Education & Membership:
- High School Graduate
- Prior similar job experience
- An engaged member or willing to become one of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the leadership established by the church.
