What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Ministry Associate Indiana Campus position at Southeast Christian Church?
Encouraging, discipling, equipping, and walking closely with group leaders to unleash them to do frontline ministry, as well as grow others to do the same. Walking in the mission of connecting people to Jesus and one another, in alignment with the mission of Southeast Christian church.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Invest in disciple-making relationships with volunteers and students
- Minister to MSM & HSM students during programming and work week
- Recruit, develop, and shepherd volunteers who are actively investing in and discipling students
- Empower volunteers to support MSM & HSM programming/events in all capacities
- Engage in student ministry gatherings at the campus.
- Plan to execute program elements in MSM and/or HSM
- Cultivate a healthy small group culture in partnership with student ministry leadership
- Leading a small group of students
- Support the operational and administrative needs of student ministry programming, events, and summer camps
- Assists communication with families and students (email, social media, etc.)
- Connects interested/potential volunteers to our on-boarding process
- Partnering with local schools and building relationships with the students and staff
- Collaborates with other IN Campus ministries/staff
- Weekly or Biweekly 1:1’s with Student Ministry Lead with focus on care, feedback, and development
- Collaborates with student ministries across campuses.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize and complete everyday tasks
- Capable of balancing ministry responsibilities with administrative and logistical tasks.

- Self-motivated and always ready to learn
- Flexibility in schedule to meet ministry needs
- Open to coaching, encouragement, and personal development
- Growing personal relationship with God.
Required Education, Experience, and Membership
- Bachelor’s Degree or Comparable Experience
- Bible degree [optional]
- Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or willing to become one
