About the Role:
The Instructor, Nursing will work under the general direction and supervision of the Associate Dean and Dean of Health Sciences. The role will involve providing instruction to students in various courses, including face-to-face, online, laboratory, and/or clinical settings.
Main Responsibilities:
- Instructional Delivery: Provide high-quality instruction to students in various courses, adhering to course objectives, standards, and guidelines for the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and the Nebraska State Board of Nursing and Nursing Assistant.
- Course Coordination: Teach courses in the Health Sciences Division as assigned in cooperation with the Program Faculty.
- Student Support: Communicate with affiliated agencies regarding student scheduling, objectives, and required skills and procedures.
- Clinical Supervision: Orient students to clinical facilities and supervise students as required by accreditation, the program, and the facility.
- Laboratory Safety: Monitor safe laboratory/clinical practice for students.
- Evaluation and Assessment: Document student performance and provide regular feedback through anecdotal notes, grades, conferences, and evaluations.
- Professional Development: Participate in the Program Assessment Plan, contribute to establishing benchmarks for assessing student learning, and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Curriculum Development: Develop and revise course curriculum and educational materials, ensuring alignment with College and Program requirements.
