Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement courses in the Diesel Technology – Truck program.
- Write course objectives, implement teaching strategies, advise students, monitor and evaluate student progress, and keep accurate student records.
- Teach various aspects of the Agriculture Management & Production Program in the focus area of Agronomy/Plant Science.
Essential Functions:
- Provide instruction and develop courses in assigned subject areas.
- Practice and encourage safety.
- Provide instruction to a diverse student population according to the objectives of each course.
- Utilize instructional strategies including lectures, small groups, demonstrations, and laboratory activities.
- Prepare and administer student evaluation instruments and maintain accurate student records.
- Remain current in events and developments related to the subject area.
- Maintain the security of College vehicles, equipment, facilities, and materials.
- Serve as an Academic Advisor for students.
- Develop and/or revise course objectives, content, descriptions, and instructional strategies.
- Maintain and upgrade the Ag Production & Management classroom/laboratory instructional facilities and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:
- AAS Degree in Diesel Technology or Related Field and/or Bachelor's Degree in a related field plus current ASE Master Certification.
- Two years of recent experience in the Transportation service field.
- ASE Certification in the areas of instruction within 6 months of hire. ASE Master Certification within 2 years of hire.
Compensation:
$55,000 per year

This is a full-time regular position with an implied 40-hour work week based on a 175-day work calendar.
