Essential Functions:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise all on-site activities related to waterline installation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations to protect personnel and the environment.
- Coordinate daily work schedules, ensuring that all teams and subcontractors are aligned with project timelines.
- Inspect and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Troubleshoot on-site challenges and provide immediate, effective solutions to keep the project on track.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and workflow between on-site and office teams.
- Manage and maintain all site documentation, including logs, reports, and daily work records.
- Conduct regular site meetings with team members to discuss progress, address concerns, and outline upcoming tasks.
- Oversee the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring they meet project requirements and safety standards.
- Mentor and guide on-site teams, fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions and demands on the job site.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards on-site.
- Coordinate the mobilization and demobilization of crews, equipment, and materials to and from the project site.
- Oversee the implementation of environmental protection measures to minimize the impact of construction activities on marine ecosystems.
- Assist in the development and execution of emergency response plans specific to utility construction scenarios.
- Evaluate the performance of subcontractors and ensure their work meets contractual obligations and quality standards.

Qualifications/Special Knowledge Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of utility construction practices, materials, and equipment.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage large teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and environmental standards specific to utility/waterline operations.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction supervision, with a focus on utility projects.
- Proven track record of successfully overseeing large-scale waterline/utility projects.
- Certifications in construction safety management (e.g., OSHA) and utility construction techniques.
- Experience with project management software and tools is a plus.
