What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder/Fabricator position at Southeast Elevator?
Essential Functions
- Welding and fabrication of elevator parts. (Predominately Aluminum TIG; occasional Steel MIG)
- Fabrication of miscellaneous steel parts
- Keeping track of inventory production parts
- Painting, cleaning, deliveries, etc.
- Occasional travel is required
- An understanding of shop safety
- Experience with Power Tool and common metal-shop tools
- Mechanically inclined
- Good communication skills
- Ability to develop a rapport with customers and staff
- Ability to follow plans and procedures and complete tasks on time
- Drivers license
- Clean Driving Record (Pass a DOT Physical)
- 3 years of welding experience
- This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods, including up and down stairs
- The ability to lift 40 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis is required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Work below the knees and above the shoulders will be required
