As a Patient Accounts Representative, you will monitor the status of outstanding accounts within your assigned unit or duty. You will prepare and maintain billing, collection, and reimbursement related records. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with our patients, guests, and other team members by striving for excellence in service and quality. You will be responsible for:

  • Contacting third-party payer organizations or patients as necessary to facilitate timely payments that could result in a completed account cycle.
  • Ensuring all federal guidelines are followed as set forth by government payers and that patient confidentiality is maintained.
  • Receiving and answering inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and other parties regarding charges and/or billing discrepancies in a timely, effective, and professional manner

What you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of clerical experience in a business office or similar environment preferred
  • Previous billing experience highly preferred
  • Certified Patient Accounts Representative (CPAR) highly preferred
