What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator Procedural Materials position at Southeast Georgia Health System Inc?
Responsible for supply chain management functions to assure that supplies, equipment and services meet the needs of patients and procedural departments. Supply chain functions include procurement, value analysis, receiving, supply, equipment, and inventory management for the procedural areas within the Health System (2 acute care hospitals). Acts as liaison for Coastal Community Health and directs customers to respective designee. All team members of Southeast Georgia Health System will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, DNV survey requirements, and national patient safety standards.
Assists with the development of a credible perpetual inventory system in conjunction with accounting and performs periodic random sample counts for supply locations.
Oversees supplies in all areas to include ordering, inventory control, utilization, and charging.
Assists with VAT preparation, form completion, trials, cost benefit analysis, and budget impact.
Reviews back orders, and reconciles discrepancies with vendors.
Ensures that the product recall system is utilized and works with team members to ensure compliance.
Leads procedural areas supply chain and charge capture functions and staff to meet nursing and physician preferences in an efficient and fiscally responsible manner.
Arranges with vendors for replacement of damaged goods or credit for returned items.
Collaborates with directors and managers of procedural services in budget preparation, cost monitoring and variance accountability.
Hires, trains, reviews, and evaluates Procedural Materials personnel.
Oversight of leasing and maintenance contracts for procedural areas.
Experience
Preferred- 3 - 5 years: Experience in Materials Management and in clinical procedural service lines preferred.
Education
Preferred- Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field
