What are the responsibilities and job description for the CyberKnife Navigator position at Southeast Georgia Health System Inc?
Develops/Maintains/Updates: CyberKnife patient chart, forms, medical records.
Develops/Maintains/Updates: consents for treatment.
Coordinates patient’s itinerary for CyberKnife process including: patient consult, fiducial placement with specialist involved (urologist, pulmonologist, neuro-surgeon, radiologist), simulation, scans (MRI/CT/PET) treatment.
Works to find resources for patients needs.
Coordinates accommodations for out of town patients.
Prepares and performs patient education, health fairs, etc. on an ongoing basis.
Generates reports as needed for patients, follow up, tracking, etc.
Schedules/Maintains follow up appointments and follow up scans.
Oversees CyberKnife compliancy for medical records, The Joint Commission standards, and safety and flow issues.
Experience
Preferred- Masters/Bachelor degree in social work/related field preferred. Medical social work and clinical experience preferred.
