Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Technologist, the Imaging Aide performs a variety of duties in the transport, care and diagnosis of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Sets up and operates patient care equipment and provides specialized assistance to the professional staff in caring and treating patients in Imaging Services. All team members of Southeast Georgia Health System will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, TJC requirements, and national patient safety standards. You will be responsible for :
- Consistently assists with maintenance of supplies needed for efficient and effective provision of diagnostic services.
- Coordinates work to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Demonstrates correct procedure for the transport of patients to and from the MRI Department.
- Provides for the privacy of patients and families within the limitations of Imaging Services while keeping the safety of the patient in mind.
- Assists the technologists with general patient care and assessment prior, during and after the exam.
- Assists MRI Technologists with safety screening of patients and staff.
