Southeast Health, a 420-bed regional referral and Level II trauma center in Dothan, Alabama, is seeking an additional General Surgeon to join their team. This group practices a mix of bread and butter surgeries such as hernia repair, cholecystectomy, colon resection, vascular access procedures, as well as some trauma surgery. Dothan offers a short 90-min drive to the Emerald Coast beaches of Florida, a low cost of living, excellent educational facilities, and traditional southern hospitality.
Practice Highlights :
- Established team of 4 board-certified General Surgeons and 3 APPs
- Call shared equally at 1 : 5
- Practice at only one location - no travel is required
- Clinic is located inside of the Doctors Building at Southeast Health Medical Center for easy access to OR, ICU, ED, etc.
- daVinci robot available
- 24 / 7 subspecialty support to include Vascular Surgery, Anesthesia, Pulm / Critical Care, etc.
- Robust IM Hospitalist service provides medical consult support for non-surgical issues
- Exceptional referral base with strong primary care physician referral sources from several counties.
- Opportunity to precept Internal Medicine and Transitional Year residents as well as DO medical students
