I knew Mercy was the right place to come, mostly because of the physicians here. I've been here over 18 years. I feel like we're in it for patient care. Oh, it just speaks to what the whole purpose of healthcare is. Not all health systems are created equal. I mean, it's really the people that keep me going at Mercy. We are a physician led, and I think that's really important because I get to really impact making patient care better. I think it's really nice to be part of a community. I wanted to be part of an organization that not just valued the patients, but also valued the caregivers as well. As a mother, work-life balance was the most important thing to me. I've got time with my family at home. Helps me then to really focus at work. I feel that I have enough time to connect with my patients. That helps enforce this culture of respect. Mercy does not accept the status quo. They want to continue moving forward.
