Hi, I'm Mandie Huntley, the Nurse Manager for 3B here at Mercy Springfield. 3B is a 32 bed surgical unit and today, I would like to talk about why 3B is a great starting place for new graduate nurses. So 3B, our patient population is very diverse, so this allows our new nurses to really hone in on their nursing hands-on skills and that's something that you will need throughout your nursing career. 3B is a very family-oriented unit, so as a new nurse, you know you will always have someone to go to to answer any questions that you may have and just help you with your orientation and onboarding process. We offer very flexible scheduling, so that is important to provide a positive work-life balance. I would encourage you to come and shadow on 3B. Just take a look at our unit and if you have any questions, we can go over that, as well.
