What education assistance is available in the East communities?
Transcript
My name is Bethany Hollis, and I am a member of our Nurse Recruitment Team here at Mercy. We wanted to take a minute and talk about our education pathway that we have in our east location. So that would be for Jefferson, Washington, St. Louis South, and Lincoln Hospitals, and what this program is is it's $50,000 total in assistance, and it's broken down into three different programs. So the first one is $10,000 that you can get through that initial RN degree, that's money upfront for you to utilize. The next is $20,000 in loan forgiveness, so maybe any loans you have to take out in addition to complete that first RN degree, and then finally, we have $16,000 in RN to BSN assistance. Maybe you're coming in and you've been a nurse for a couple of years, you have an associate's degree and you want to advance to a BSN, we have that assistance program for you. With these, we don't restrict what program you can go to, and all of these programs are available typically between day of hire and 90 days, so you don't have to be with Mercy for a long time to utilize them. They allow you to work and make some money while you're in school as well as having that schooling paid for, so it's really Mercy's way of investing in our nursing teams and knowing that nurses are lifelong learners. So if you're interested in learning about our current opportunities with Mercy and learning more about these assistance programs, reach out to our recruitment team today.
